Spring 2026 Cookbook Club:
This spring, we return to one of our most beloved themes: legendary women who changed how—and why—we cook. The history of cookbooks is, in many ways, the history of the home kitchen. These three authors wrote with vision, confidence, and deep cultural insight, and their books remain as vibrant and relevant as ever.
Led by chef and educator Annette Tomei, our spring Cookbook Club will explore a trio of influential voices—each with her own unique style and story:
-
April: Dorie’s Anytime Cakes by Dorie Greenspan — A joyful, no-pressure approach to baking from one of the most trusted names in desserts.
Meets on Zoom, Tuesdays, April 14 & 28, 7:30-8:30 pm ET -
May: My Mexico by Diana Kennedy — A deeply personal, richly researched celebration of regional Mexican cooking by one of its most passionate advocates.
Meets on Zoom, Tuesdays, May 12 & 26, 7:30-8:30 pm ET -
June: The Taste of Country Cooking by Edna Lewis — A landmark book returns for its 50th anniversary, reminding us why it’s one of the most cherished cookbooks in American history.
Meets on Zoom, Tuesdays, June 9 & 23, 7:30-8:30 pm ET
Whether you’re joining us for the first time or returning for more, these books promise inspiration, conversation, and a deeper appreciation of the cooks who’ve shaped the way we eat.
Cookbook Club includes copies of the featured books, two live Zoom sessions per month (all recorded), activities to deepen your engagement with each book, a private online discussion group, and guest appearances from cookbook authors and culinary experts.
