Cookbook Club: May 2026
Legendary Women Cookbook Authors, Part 3
This spring, we return to one of our most beloved themes: legendary women who changed how—and why—we cook. The history of cookbooks is, in many ways, the history of the home kitchen. These three authors wrote with vision, confidence, and deep cultural insight, and their books remain as vibrant and relevant as ever.
If you can't sign up for the whole Spring 2026 season, we invite you to join chef and educator Annette Tomei for My Mexico by the formidable Diana Kennedy.
Meets on Zoom, Tuesdays, May 12 & 26, 7:30-8:30 pm ET
For decades, Diana Kennedy traveled the length and breadth of Mexico, seeking out the home cooks, local ingredients, and traditional recipes that make Mexican cuisines some of the most varied and flavorful in the world.
My Mexico was a labor of love, filled with more than three hundred recipes and stories that capture the essence of Mexican food culture as Kennedy discovered and lived it.
Includes a copy of My Mexico, two live Zoom session (recorded in case you can't make it), activities to deepen your engagement with the book, a private online discussion group, and guest appearances from cookbook authors and culinary experts.
