Peach

Published by Bitter Southerner magazine, Peach is a bijou, compact, fully cloth-bound, foil-stamped book emphasizing photographs by Amanda Greene and featuring a foreword by Shane Mitchell, a poem by Li-Young Lee, and recipes contributed by Sean Brock, Anne Byrne, Peter Dale, Vivian Howard, Claudia Martinez, and Shyretha Sheats.

Greene's photography captures a world in which peaches are a focal point, showcasing orchards and roadside stands, farmers' markets and peach festival paraphernalia, peach-accented clothing and kitchen counters laden with peaches.

Peach has no intention of being a practical book; it does not tell you all there is to know about peaches because that is not really the point. If you are not already convinced of the pleasures of peaches, you will not be swayed. But if you do know why such a book as this exists, well, perhaps this is right for you.
