See All This No. 40 Winter 2025-2026

See All This is an Amsterdam-based magazine, which proclaims "Our focus is art — something we see everywhere. Because every expression of life, baking a cake or tending the garden, bears witness to this dizzying creative force."

For this, their tenth anniversary issue, the magazine enlisted Paris chef Mory Sacko to, in their own words, curate an issue dedicated to the idea that Cooking is Caring.  Sacko is certainly featured prominently, the subject of an interview that heralds him as "raised with an African palate, inspired by Japanese intuition, and shaped by a French flair for food." They highlight a dozen people, places, and things he holds in high regard, including a Kurdish kebab spot in Paris.  And later they profile the inspiration he draws from African sculpture, the fashion design of Sarah Diouf, the Drops of God manga series.

We can't say if he's responsible for the inclusion of an appreciation of pizza illustrated by Irving Penn photographs, a series of photos of vegetable gardens interspersed with quotations from Wendell Berry, or a collection of food-related artwork by the likes of Meret Oppenheim, Joseph Beuys, and Laila Gohar. Carrie Mae Weems, Andy Warhol, and Salvador Dali are also represented, along with Judy Chicago, Henri Rousseau, and numerous others.

An interesting cross-pollinization.
