Roberta's made its name with toothsome, distinctive pizzas that drew people from all over to the original location in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Here, in the second book from the restaurants (there are multiple restaurants now, just as there are multiple books: here is the first), they offer more pizzas, but also a full menu of vegetables, seafood, meat, pasta, and cocktails.

Current popular pizzas such as Lardo Calrissian (lardo, taleggio, and gremolata breadcrumbs) and Bee Sting (chili oil, mozzarella, soppresatta, and the barest drizzle of honey) are within, but so are wood-roasted cabbages, oxtail lasagna, and scrambled eggs with 'nduja.

A certain hip irreverence runs through the book, which won't surprise anyone who has dined at Roberta's.
