by Bacardi Imports, Inc.

Bacardi Imports, Inc., 1976. Staplebound pamphlet. Very Good.

For what was originally a freebie item, The Bacardi Party Book offers as many rum cocktail recipes as a hardcover single spirit cocktail book might—not to mention the inclusion of party food recipes, too. Of course, the aim here is to get you to buy Bacardi brand rum for all your festive occasions, so no harm in giving out free recipes when the real margin is in liquor sales.

Cocktail offerings run the gamut—seven daiquiris; rum-based versions of the old fashioned, martini, margarita, etc.; highballs and simple mixers; frozen drinks and punches, of course; three egg nogs; and hot drinks like the Tom & Jerry or toddy.

Of the food recipes, the pork loin braised with a rum-based sweet and sour sauce or the cheese fondue with a hint of light rum are safe bets. The chili, which utilizes dark rum, and deviled calves’ liver blended with rum, mayonnaise, chives, and dry mustard are slightly more adventurous.

Very good. 5.25” x 7.25”, 29 pages. Color photography throughout.
