OP: Cooking with Country Music Stars
“Stars” is just the right word. You name them and they’ll be there, along with their recipes. This good-looking hardcover volume was compiled in 1986 as a fund-raiser for the Country Music Foundation, a research museum and archive of a musical style and the industry to which it gave rise. Who’s on board? Well, to name a few, Emmylou Harris, the Judds, Pee Wee King, Reba McEntire, Dolly Parton, Minnie Pearl, Ricky Skaggs, Hank Williams Jr., Tammy Wynette. And a heap more.
Do trust us on this—you haven’t lived until you’ve tried the Statler Brothers’ impossible cheeseburger pie, Brenda Lee’s jambalaya shrimp, or Kenny Rogers’ hot mulled punch. Color photos and a nicely done biographical profile is also included for each of the stars.
A Very Good unused copy, hardcover edition, published without dust jacket. Presumably a first edition, although not stated. Great price, great gift. Who could resist?
