by Nigella Lawson

Chatto & Windus, London, 2000. Hardcover. Very Good in Very Good jacket. Fourth printing.

How any publisher could allow a Nigella Lawson book to go out of print is a mystery to us, but so it is with 2000’s How to Be a Domestic Goddess. Clear of voice and intention, Lawson demystifies the act of baking, “[B]aking has to be, however innocently, one of the great culinary scams: it implies effort, it implies domestic prowess; but believe me, it’s easy.” Feeling at ease and in control in your own kitchen is most certainly a cape Lawson wears well.

We are pleased to offer here a fourth printing copy of the original UK edition in Near Fine condition, regarding the book block; however the case is split about two inches at the outer front hinge. The binding remains strong. The jacket is intact and minimally shelfworn. Copies are always snatched up as soon as we have them to offer.
