Although these recipes are technically restaurant fare, most of them are remarkably easy to prepare, as well as stylish and flavorful. It's easy to imagine serving your guests dishes such as roasted baby carrots with grapefruit gremolata; chilled corn, basil and buttermilk soup (no cooking required whatsoever); braised short ribs with roasted root vegetables; or a fresh apricot trifle, with a pistachio praline for flourish.
