This deluxe boxed set of book and ephemera is a treat for bourbon fans with a historical bent.
Clay Risen, who has written extensively about spirits and particularly about bourbon, provides a guide to important producers and their histories, dividing them into broad categories such as The Old Guard, The New Establishment, and Craft Whiskey. There is also coverage of non-distilling producers and even a few Kentucky establishments that bottle something other than bourbon.
The slipcase box contains a drawer which slides out to reveal reproductions of vintage labels, maps, blueprints, and photographs.
