This visually rich volume offers a portrait of the Aubrac region of France through the lens of chef Cyril Attrazic, whose two-Michelin-starred restaurant is located in the region, and designer Zoé de las Cases, whose handwritten notes and photographs capture the surrounding landscape and seasonal rhythm.

While best known as the homeland of chef Michel Bras, Aubrac is presented here not as culinary legacy, but as an experience—through landscape photographs, handwritten recipe notes, and scenes of meals taken outdoors. Attrazic’s recipes focus on local ingredients, prepared in ways that feel restrained but expressive: hard-boiled eggs filled with pike roe; strawberries prepared in the style of beef tartare, with capers and cornichons; or a mix of wild mushrooms and greens dressed with honey and vinegar.

Not a chef monograph in the traditional sense, Aubrac offers an immersive look at a specific region and its ingredients. Visually expressive and rooted in the daily materials of life and landscape.
