9” x 7” photograph of the Delmonico’s location on the corner of 5th Avenue and 26th St. where lobster Newberg was invented. This location was in operation from 1876–1899. Horse carriages are lined up outside. Delmonico's restaurants were among the US’s first fine dining establishments and set the bar for culinary indulgence and creativity in this country for many years.

Mounted on a sturdy mat with fading gilt beveled edges. Small pinholes to each corner. Minor soiling.
