OP: Kurt Wirth Illustrated Swissair Menus Featuring Ingredients
Kurt Wirth (1917–1996) was a Swiss illustrator and graphic designer who had long relationships with Swissair and Swiss Federal Railways, creating promotional materials and lending his artwork to menu covers.
We offer here Swissair menus following one of Wirth's thematic styles: ingredient illustrations. All are in Very Good condition, printed c. 1960s–1970s. 7.5” x 10”.
All eight covers carry the same menu for economy class with beverages, roast veal loin or ragout of venison and mushrooms for the entree with sides of fried potatoes, spaetzle, and spinach; cheese and dessert to follow.
