Judene Divone’s chocolate mould collection started with an endearing gift, purchased only because it was a cute rabbit. That’s how any good obsession begins, and as Divone’s collection grew, so did her knowledge and interest in the craftsmanship, the background, and the cataloging of the novelty two-piece moulds.
Her book on the subject, Chocolate Moulds (1987), is at once a history and a reference for classification, makers, and their identifying marks; care; cleaning; and evaluation. Included are hundreds of photographs, catalog illustrations, and additional material, making this book an essential for any fellow enthusiast. With twenty-six pages devoted just to rabbit molds and more than 800 designs in all.
Issued only in paperback, ours is a later issue with liquid damage and slight rippling to the front wrapper. Otherwise, unused, sturdy, and clean.
