This series of four books collected recipes, short articles, cooking notes, and profiles of cooks that appeared in the food pages of the Times during the previous year. Each volume is organized chronologically by publication date.
Craig Claiborne’s Favorite Recipes from the New York Times [Vol I] (1975): The initial publication does not state “volume I” but is bibliographically considered such. This copy is a 1975 second printing in Near Fine condition with a Very Good jacket, save for a one-inch tear to the rear and moderate shelfwear.
Craig Claiborne’s Favorite Recipes from the New York Times Vol II (1976): A first printing in Near Fine condition with a Very Good, price-clipped dust jacket showing light shelfwear and creasing.
Craig Claiborne’s Favorites from the New York Times Vol III (1977): A Near Fine 1978 second printing with a Near Fine jacket.
Craig Claiborne’s Favorites from the New York Times Vol IV (1978): A Very Good plus first printing showing stains along the top and bottom of the front board. The jacket is clean and intact with light shelfwear, particularly along the top edge.
Together, the four volumes form an extremely valuable archive.
