Magazine F is a food documentary magazine which focuses on one ingredient per issue. The magazine explores how each ingredient is grown, prepared, and shared in different cultures around the world, through in-depth interviews, inspiring stories, and beautiful photos.
The magazine originates in Korea, where it is published roughly 6 times a year. But as part of its quest to examine the use of foods worldwide, it features information on many locations, traditions, cooks, and producers.
This issue is devoted to teas and tisanes, and the ways they are enjoyed across various cultures. The photo essays which visually juxtapose the Japanese tea ceremony and the British high tea are especially inviting. There are interviews with tea importers, cafe owners and tea enthusiasts, as well as tea-centric city guides for London and Tokyo.
As with other issues, the whole magazine is full of robust educational and historical information. An excellent stand-alone issue for any curious individual with an overflowing tea drawer.
Paperback. Color photographs throughout.
