OP: Lucky Peach Vol 8

The Gender Issue! Into territory already fraught with millennia of cultural baggage, the fearless team at Lucky Peach wade with relish. While not-so-subtle images of hot dogs, carrots, melon halves, and ripe cherries abound, along with articles on subjects such as stag-pizzle soup, there are some welcome surprises as well. Among them are features on the female butchers who dominate the market in Ho Chi Minh City's Chinatown and an investigation into the process of creating capons from chicks who would otherwise grow up to be roosters. Not for the tender-hearted, but then this magazine never is.

Color photographs and illustrations throughout. Paper. This copy is second hand and shows some creasing to the cover and wear around the corners. Otherwise in Very Good shape.
