A special reprint of the degustation menu from one of the most famous restaurants in Spain, and indeed the world.
It is printed in an oversize format (16.5" x 12") on 40 pages of bright white uncoated stock that resembles butcher paper. Many of the photographs of the elegantly plated dishes are nearly life size.
But more notable is the fact that the menu does not simply list the names of what was served, it includes short form recipes and ingredient quantities for all the components of the final dishes. Even something which seems relatively straightforward, such as a beet tartare, is composed of fifteen separate elements.
A fascinating artifact of the creativity of the Roca brothers. Their restaurant, opened in 1986, earned its third Michelin star in 2009. It frequently appears on lists of the world's greatest restaurants, rivalled perhaps only by Noma.
