Family Cookbook Club
Cook together, learn together, explore together.
Designed for curious kids (ages 7–16) and the grownups who love to cook with them, the KAL Family Cookbook Club is a seasonal membership program that brings families into the kitchen—and into community—with a new cookbook, hands-on activities, and live virtual sessions featuring chefs, instructors, and authors.
It’s not just about learning recipes—it’s about discovering how cooking connects us: to ingredients, to traditions, and to each other.
Each seasonal membership includes one featured cookbook and three months of culinary exploration centered on that book’s themes and techniques. Families receive a series of engaging, age-appropriate activities, plus invitations to three live (and recorded) online sessions—including one with the cookbook author.
Every session is interactive, designed to build skills and confidence in the kitchen, while sparking curiosity beyond the recipe page.
The club encourages kids to take an active role in cooking—chopping, mixing, tasting, and presenting—while giving families structured, meaningful ways to spend time together.
Along the way, members can share their projects, photos, and questions in a private, moderated online group where creativity is always welcome and everyone is learning together.
Winter 2026: Our Inaugural Season
